Powers, Religiosities, Narrative and Normative Sources in the Middle Ages (Medieval)

The purpose of this course is to discuss concepts and methodologies related to historical production in the Middle Ages. A dialogue with the History of Religions and medieval philosophers, apart from methodological practice, are important tools for a historian, for it assists in the understanding of the thought of what a medieval man had about himself and the world around him, both in the field of explicit power relations in official documentation, in chronology, in ecclesiastical documentation, and in the forms of construction of literary texts, etc., and in the relations of this man with the sacred.
