History, Narrative and to Make Sense

Jörn Rüsen, in his book "Historical Reason", affirms that the narrative is endowed with meaning as it temporarily orders the chaos of existence immersed in "acting and suffering." The present course seeks to analyze the more general assumptions of the contemporary human condition based on ideas drawn from Philosophy, Psychology and Literature that aim to explicitly show the field of action and suffering. After this analysis, the ideas linked to the presuppositions that constitute the relations between narrativity and history will be discussed.
