History and the theory of arts: from body to image and movement

The discipline aims to study, analyze, interpret and understand the history and production of articulated artistic works from the concepts of body, three-dimensional object (sculptural), movement and image-movement. To do so, we will carry out case studies in the field of sculpture, architecture, body, movement, image-movement (video, cinema). The studies will be developed from traditional readings in the History of Art (studies of iconography, social history of art, visual studies) and contemporary approaches (technnoesthetics, inter and transmidialities, interart theory, quasi-cinema, sensory art, psychic processes and perceptual processes).
