An update on the master's story of life: the relationship between history and life in Nietzsche and Rüsen

This project aims to analyze how the relationship between history and life is articulated in the thinking of Friederich Nietzsche and Jörn Rüsen. What are the similarities and differences in this relationship? Moreover, we are interested in deepening the following question: how can this search for the revitalization of history and life in Nietzsche and Rüsen contribute to think of the Didactics of History as the area of historical thought that investigates historical learning? In order to do so, this project intends to analyze the historical context and the works produced by Nietzsche, seeking his criticism of the Science of History from the relation that it develops with life. In the same way, he intends to understand the historical context and the works of Jörn Rüsen, analyzing his conception of rooting of scientific knowledge to the needs of existential orientation of men in the practical life. Finally, it intends to compare these two conceptions and to analyze the contributions that they can provide for a Didactics of History, understood as the discipline that analyzes the temporal orientation functions of History for the acting and suffering of men.

Social Organizations of Education in Goiás: project of government and resistance of students and professors (2015-2018)

Description: This research aims to produce a history of the attempt, by the Government of Goiás, to transfer the management of schools from the basic state education network to the Social Organizations of Education during the period from 2015 to 2018. To this end, this broad project aims to bring together different research on both the government project and the resistance produced by students and professors. Our main hypothesis is that the confrontation produced in Goiás assumes, besides the local traits, national and world characteristics of a time marked by the so-called globalization of the crisis. In this way, we intend to focus on the process of elaboration of the government project, which involved the participation of institutions such as Itaú Unibanco and the World Bank, as well as presented internal tensions among the state government departments. The resistance produced by professors and students should also be analyzed, taking into consideration the different actors. Our hypothesis is that it also presents characteristics common to resistance movements produced globally by precarious sectors of the youth and that in Brazil was marked by the uprisings of June 2013. The crisis of Fordist unionism and the precarious nature of labor relations have driven the emergence of new actors and new organizational forms of struggle, marked by criticism of bureaucratic organizational models. We want to develop an analysis of the role of the press and its different representations, as well as the appropriation of alternative media by demonstrators. We are also interested in understanding the role of the different organs of the state, such as the Public Prosecutor's Office, and the characteristics of repression of the movement. Our hypothesis is that local repression also assumes a more authoritarian mode, with characteristics that did not exist before, and that is linked to an advance of authoritarianism on a national and global level.
