History, Gender and Power
To discuss the historicity of the concept of gender and its utilization in historical research. Starting from the approach of gender studies, it is possible to think of the historical studies evidencing the sexually produced references through a set of signification and power relations, identities, symbols, kinship, economic, political, ethnic, religious and sexual relations, weaving a series of reconsiderations of the senses in the past from the point of view of gender, giving meaning to the structuring of the historical process. It is intended to reflect on the contemporary historiography produced in the field of Women's History and Gender Relations and to address the historical changes and remains in the socially sexualized roles: cultural, ideological and biological influences on the so-called feminine and masculine behaviors.
